Configuring Your Custom Domain and Cloning Your Site: A Step-by-Step Guide
I. Introduction
Purpose: Guide on configuring a custom domain and cloning your site to prevent loss of edits during updates.
II. Accessing the Site and Form Builder
Click on "Site and Form Builder."
Navigate to "Websites" if it does not open by default.
III. Cloning the Template
Locate the template named "Location Name Duplicate Before Editing."
Important: Do not edit the original template to avoid losing changes during updates.
To clone:
Click on the three dots on the right-hand side.
Select "Clone."
Change the name to your preferred identifier (personal name or business name).
Click "Confirm" to start the cloning process.
Wait for cloning to complete:
Look for nine pages matching the original.
If not visible, refresh the screen.
IV. Opening the Site Builder
Click on your business name (or site name) to access the Site Builder.
Overview of different pages within your site will be provided in future lessons.
V. Configuring Your Custom Domain
Navigate to the "Settings" option at the top.
Ensure you have a domain set up within your software:
Default domain format: [First Name][Last Name].notary.com.
If the domain is blank, refer to future tutorials for assistance.
If you have an existing domain and prefer not to use the default:
Additional training resources will be provided.
Select your preferred domain.
Scroll down and click "Save" to sync the domain with your new website template.
