How to Update Your Website's Header and Navigation Menu
1. Accessing the Site Builder
Open any page on the site builder.
Click on the navigation menu to highlight it.
2. Configuring the Logo Link
Scroll down to the bottom of the navigation menu settings.
Click on the logo element to set its destination.
Select the homepage as the link destination.
Note: If editing from the homepage, switch to a different page (e.g., Privacy Policy) to make this change.
3. Updating the Navigation Menu Items
Scroll up in the editor to find the menu items.
Default items include: opt-out, services, book, and contact.
4. Deleting Menu Items
Click the pencil icon next to the item you wish to delete.
Confirm deletion when prompted.
Understand that deleting an item from the menu does not delete the actual page.
5. Adding New Menu Items
Click on "Add Item."
Label the new item as desired.
Use the "Go to Page" option to link to an existing page.
Submit the changes to add the new item to the menu.
6. Updating Go-To Pages for Each Menu Item
For each menu item, click to select the desired page and hit submit.
Repeat this for all menu items to ensure they link correctly.
7. Hiding Menu Items
If you wish to hide an item, click edit and then delete it.
8. Finalizing Changes
After updating all items, hit submit and save your changes.
Publish the site to make changes live.
9. Verifying Changes
Navigate to various pages on the site to confirm that the updates are functioning correctly.
Click on the navigation menu to check that each item links to the correct page.
10. Final Save
Once everything is confirmed to be correct, hit save again to finalize the updates.
